The first section is dedicated to Gothic Painters, here you can admire the famous Maestàs by Duccio, Cimabue and Giotto. Enjoy then the description of Early Renaissance painters such as Paolo Uccello and Masaccio and take time to observe the Portraits of the Dukes of Urbino, by Piero della Francesca: the profile of Federico da Montefeltro is one of the most impressive portraits of the Renaissance. A few steps from the diptych is the largest hall of the museum, housing the most stunning and breathtaking paintings by Sandro Botticelli: stop for a few minutes to admire the large panel of the Allegory of Spring and the canvas of the Birth of Venus and many other displeyed in these rooms. The visit proceed with the most importannt Renaissnace Art: the Tondo Doni by Michelangelo, Raphael’s portraits and The Annunciation by Leonardo da Vinci described by Vasari as The School of the World for any painter.
